The CDG Leadership Academy: Session #6
Last night we held our closing session for the Fall semester of CDG LEADERSHIP ACADEMY at the world famous Kelly O's Diner PGH. And, what a 'Grand Finale' it was!
It was such an honor to be welcomed and inspired by Kelly O'Connor, Owner & Founder of Kelly O's; Seana Rader-Lois, CEO of Kelly O's; and Adam Murray, Manager of Kelly O's Warrendale; along with special guests Rob Mercuri, former State Representative & Ken Wregget, retired Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup Champion.
Leadership themes of the night focused on setting a vision, believing in yourself, hard work, resilience and serving the community!
Our 'future restaurateurs' then underwent some rapid-fire on the job training before hosting and serving dessert to their families. It's hard to say, but I think their favorite job was 'quality control' (aka tasting) the brownies!
The highlight of the night for us was the opportunity to recognize and celebrate each of the students for their unique leadership abilities and contributions during our closing ceremony.
It's been an incredible 6 weeks working with these young leaders! We cannot wait for our next session in the spring!!
